Congratulations, you’re almost there! Your attorney will represent you at closing, ensuring everything goes smoothly. Once the closing is complete, your attorney will send both of us a copy of the HUD/settlement statement, which details the exact breakdown of all closing costs and charges.

What Happens Next:

  1. Paying Off the Loan: Your attorney will arrange for your mortgage to be paid off using the proceeds from the sale.
  2. Receiving Any Additional Proceeds: If there is money left after paying off your mortgage, your attorney will either wire the funds directly to you or you can pick up your closing check from their office, depending on what you’ve arranged.
